Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BlackSolstice Technologies LLC (“VeritasLaw AI,” “we”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service. Because VeritasLaw AI helps with legal matters, some information you enter may be sensitive; this policy explains how we handle it. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your email address and authentication data (managed via Supabase Auth).
  • Profile information — if you choose to save a profile for autofill: your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email. You can view, edit, or delete this at any time.
  • Matter and document information — the answers you enter into guided forms, including case facts and party names, and case-level details (court, case number). This can include sensitive information you choose to provide (for example, in restraining-order, criminal-record, family, conservatorship, or debt matters). It is stored so you can resume and generate your documents.
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we receive limited billing metadata (e.g., plan, status) from Stripe.
  • Usage information — basic logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: explain forms, fill official documents from your answers, and let you save and resume matters;
  • To power autofill: your saved profile and matter details pre-fill new forms you choose to start — we only autofill your own identity fields, never an opposing party’s name;
  • To process payments and manage your subscription;
  • To provide support and respond to you;
  • To secure, maintain, and improve the Service; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing

Some informational features (for example, legal-information responses) are powered by third-party AI model providers. When you use those features, the text of your query may be sent to that provider to generate a response. Do not enter information you do not want processed by a third party.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who operate the Service under contract, including Supabase (data storage and authentication), Stripe (payments), our hosting providers (Render and Vercel), and our AI model providers (Anthropic for generation, OpenAI for embeddings);
  • Legal and compliance recipients when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and
  • A successor in a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

5. Data security and storage

Your data is stored with Supabase and protected by row-level security so that records are scoped to your account. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information while your account is active. You can delete your saved profile at any time from the profile page (deletion takes effect immediately), and you can delete individual documents and matters. To close your account and delete associated data, contact support@veritaslawai.com. We may retain limited records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., payment records).

7. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@veritaslawai.com.

8. Sensitive matters and autofill controls

Because legal matters can be sensitive, autofill is under your control: you can turn off profile autofill entirely, and matters can be individually opted out of being remembered or autofilled (for example, a restraining-order or other sensitive matter). We only ever autofill your own identity fields.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage necessary to keep you signed in and operate the Service (authentication, security). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date.
